The Familie von Berckefeldt maintains detailed genealogy records for all known life events (births, deaths, marriages, etc.) of our family members. These files are on computerized genealogy software and backed up periodically with copies of those files maintained at a different location. Recognition and thanks

We would take this opportunity to recognize the efforts of several family members who were instrumental in researching the early family history. Among those are Carol (von Berckefeldt) Zundel and Betty (Berckefeldt) Doane whose early research in the 1960’s led to further research and travel by Paul and Marie Berckefeldt in the 1970’s. Paul and Marie travelled to Germany to meet family and obtain detailed information and documents about the early family. Since that time we have automated that information and updated it to the extent family members have shared in the life events (births, marriages, deaths, etc.) of our family members.  And more recently we have made contact with family members in both Germany and the US that contributed to the line of Christiane M. von Berckefeldt.  That research followed the receipt of a photo you can see on that page.
